About Us
Milliamp Technologies Ltd is an independent Electronics Design & Manufacturing specialist based in Lancashire in the north of the UK serving both domestic and global customers. Our offices are situated in the center of the beautiful heritage city of Lancaster (one of 13 in the UK) at the foot of the mountains of the spectacular Lake District National Park, a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We offer a variety of technology product development services including hardware design (schematic circuit design and PCB layout), software development (mobile/Android/iPhone, embedded C firmware and PC apps), mechatronic design (including 3D printing, plastics and metalwork) and a variety of advisory and manufacturing services (rapid prototyping, low to medium volume production). We also offer commercial and financial guidance for tech product startups and innovators.
Formed in 2009, our team of expert engineers has experience in a variety of market areas – from bespoke design of one-off equipment for extreme hi-reliability industrial environments such as aerospace, oil, gas and nuclear, to price sensitive mass produced consumer electronics. We are able to help make your product idea a reality at a competitive cost, and we have the in-house technical, project and commercial expertise to handle your development from concept to mass manufacture. Alternatively, we can help any ongoing project on an ad-hoc basis as required such as a hard to solve technical problem with an existing design.

In a fast-moving global economy, every second counts to get a product to market in minimal timescales. We understand how important it is to get “the edge” on the competition and, wherever needed and possible, we will work around the clock to meet our customer demands – from urgent deadlines to resolving show-stopper problems with products already deployed into the field, and we will endeavour to respond to any requests for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – even during seasonal holidays !
We always attempt to be as flexible to customer requirements as we can and try to fit in with how they operate. We don’t consider ourselves a “run of the mill” electronics company as we prefer trying to understand how our customers work so we can get the best out of our relationship. From customers who are new to electronic product development to experienced design houses who need a little extra help – we do our best to accommodate our customers varying needs.
Our Location
Our main office is situated in the White Cross Business Park, Lancaster, UK, 5 mins drive from M6 motorway (J33) or 5 mins drive to Lancaster railway station (West Coast Main Line – we can reach London by train in 2.5 hours), by road we are about 15 minutes north of Preston and a 1 hours away from nearby cities of Manchester (including Manchester International Airport) and Liverpool. This gives us rapid access to visit and support our customers easily in the UK and beyond via road, air and rail.
